Flower power!

Flowers makes me so happy! There is something magical about it; when you have fresh flowers surrounding you, life just gets better :)

 Yellow roses for easter :)

Well, I guess I should have ironed the tablecloth...
Yesterday I bought two bouquets of tulips. :) Ah, I just love fresh flowers! It makes writing my thesis a little easier ;) Have a good weekend!

2 weeks and counting

Today it's two weeks until deadline day. I can't wait to get it over with, but there is still a lot of work left to do, so I just have to hang in there the last couple of weeks! Here are some snapshots from my week as a exhausted student.

Home office in the couch! Sometimes I just get so tired of writing, and what better to do then than to work while you're relaxing on the couch?

It's pretty awesome if I can say so myself :)

You also have days that look a lot like this...

Busted!

Haha! Well, I didn't spend my entire day with my head placed on the desk or playing farm heroes, but sometimes your brain gets so tired, and you get so  frustrated over the work that's left that there's nothing left to do than to take five! (or 30..) Just two more weeks! I'm going to be sooooo happy when I'm done!! :)

Manchester part two

We didn't spend all of our time in Manchester at Old Trafford, in addition we also had time for some shopping, to wander around and to eat some delicious food.
We arrived pretty late on friday, so we found a place just around the corner from our hotel. According to my boyfriend this was the best food he ate on the entire trip :) I ordered butter chicken, but I was a bit dissapointed, after hearing Bjarte talk about it on Radioresepsjonen (a radio show in Norway) I guess I had a little too high expectations.

After the tour on saturday we went to Manchester Arndale. I didn't actually do a lot of shopping, we were both too tired (hello?! I should have realized that I was getting sick when I was to tired to shop...the following week was spent in bed..), Anyway I finally bought a pair of Nike Air Max 90! After almost a year of contemplating if I should or shouldn't I did it, and it turned out to be an awesome purchase - I've used them almost every day since!
So after shopping we drank a couple of beers and just hung out in our hotel :)
After recharging, we realized it was time to get some food, so we wandered around until we found a place that seemed good (and had room for us - we didn't make any reservations).
I got the classic pizza with mozzerella, tomato and basil, my favorite without a doubt!
 Couple-selfie :)
The next day we decided not to eat breakfast at the hotel. Best decision ever!
We ordered the biggest breakfast ever (well, we did not, they had bigger sizes *three eggs, three sausages etc*, but it was pretty big!). It was the perfect morning before leaving for the match.
Later that night we went to a place my boyfriend had discovered on tripadvisor. He had way to high expectations after the first restaurant we went to, and therefor got a bit dissapointed. The food was really good, it was just the memory of what had been that made it a little less awesome than what it really was.
The last day I had to buy myself a one-pound-umbrella, haha! No way I my hair was going to get curly and unruly ;)
We spent a lot of time at Primark (I always have to see what they have, it's so cheap!) and then we had lunch at TGIF :)

We ended the day at the National Football Museum. It was a lot of fun and many cool things to see. But it ended badly, as I lost to my boyfriend in both Football manager and foosball! Haha, I'm kidding, I was still soaring after Sunday's big win so I really could'nt care less ;)
Loser vs Winner.

All in all, we had the best time! What more could a girl ask for? United won the game, I got to do some shopping and I basicly just enjoyed myself :) It was a bummer to wake up with a fever on tuesday, but it was totally worth it after the awesome weekend I had. Time to start saving so that I can do this again! :)

Manchester part one

It's been a while! I've been too busy with my thesis and life in general to even think about my blog :)
In my last post I wrote that I was going to Manchester, and I was over the moon excited. Well, it did not disappoint!!

On Saturday we got a tour of Old Trafford and it was pure magic. I'm sure I had stars (and hearts) in my eyes as we walked around in the theatre of dreams.

Fergie's won some titles you might say... :D
Quotes from fans that are just as superstitious as me.

In the dressing room - Rooney is the favorite!

Pretty damn happy after the tour, it was time for some food and beer in the red cafe.
I thought my boyfriend blended in well at the red cafe, maybe he should just switch from Lpool to United? ;)

The big day finally came, it was Sunday and matchday!
Happy, happy, happy with my new Rooney-shirt, on my way to Bishops Blaize before the match - the perfect place to be! Drinking beer and singing United-songs in a place packed with red-supporters, amazing!

"I can't believe this!"

Not the best picture, but the score was 3-0, 3-0!!
 WE WON!!
What a day! I will never forget this, and one thing is for sure - this was not my last time at OT! Words can not describe the feeling, I had tears in my eyes several times during the match.
What a feeling what a night, oh what a night!

Manchester

I've been looking forward to this day about a year now, and it's finally just three days away!!
This Friday, I'm going to Manchester with my boyfriend to see the match between Manchester United and Tottenham. I can't wait! I've been a United-fan pretty much all of my life, but I have never been to a match before. When I turned 25 my parents gave me the present of a lifetime; a trip to Manchester to see a match, and now the time has come!!

I'm seriously going to cry when I enter the stadium and get to see it all for myself! This is just so big, and I've been wishing for it for so long.

I mean look at this!!
Anyway, we are in Manchester from Friday until Monday. The match was supposed to be on Saturday, but had to be moved till Sunday. I liked this change because if they were to loose, it is now right before we're going home, so it doesn't have to ruin the trip haha. I'm pretty sure we will have an awesome time either way, but I'm not in the best of moods after a loss.

So we arrive on Friday, in the evening, so the plan is basicly just to get to the hotel and hang out before we have to go to bed. Saturday starts off with a tour at Old Trafford. Even though my boyfriend is not a Manchester United-fan (Liverpool) I made it clear that if he wanted to come with me on this trip he had to join in on the different United-activities and at least pretend to love it (but come on, he's a guy that likes football, even though it's not his team I'm sure he's going to find it fun and interesting!).

After a couple of hours at the theatre of dreams I guess we have to get some lunch and then do some shopping. I've found out that there is a mall nearby our hotel, how perfect! ;)
So I guess we're going to spend some hours in here! Unfortunately I havent saved up as much as I would like to, and the currency is really high now, so I don't think there is going to be as much shopping as a girl might hope for ;)
In the evening we will have to find a place to eat, I'm not sure where, but I'm positive we'll find something good and then just enjoy the rest of the night with dinner and drinks :)

Sunday is MATCH-DAY! Nothing much to say other than I CAN'T WAIT.

Then Monday I will hopefully be in a perfect mood because they won (fingers crossed), then we have to check out of the hotel. If we didn't walk around in Manchester on Saturday (because the hours flew by in the centre) I guess that is what we're going to do the last day before it's time to go to the airport :)

As you can see, it's going to be an awesome weekend! And it's just days away! Now I better work really hard with my thesis so that I can take a couple vacation days without a bad conscience.

Have a good tuesday! :)
