Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yesterday I slept almost all day after work. I was so tired when I got home at 11, so when I went to bed around 12 I slept until 19-20, ate "dinner", and then I fell asleep again! I woke up a couple of times in the middle of the night, but I managed to stay in bed until the clock turned 05 :) 

Today I had a day off, so I figured I should try to be a little housewife, and started to bake in the early hours :p The baking had to be accompanied by some Christmas movies, so I fetched my computer and turned on netflix, what a perfect morning!

Mmm, I love chocolate chip cookies!

Tuesday bliss

When it comes to sleeping, I don't understand myself. Yesterday I got up early, had a long studyday and was really tired when it was time for bed - but did I manage to fall asleep? No. So there I was at what eventually turned out to be 02.45 still not sleeping - surprise surprise, I overslept today. (well, to be honest I did wake up some time in the early hours, but I heard the rain and I was to tired to function, and then magically *or i turned it off* there were no more noice from my alarm, and all I had to do was to pull the duvet a little closer). Anyways - homeschool for me today!

These are the things I love about homeschool! You can wear whatever you want (hello soft slippers, sweatpants and merino wool sweater!), you have unlimited access to GOOD fresh coffee and you can make whatever you want to eat whenever you want :) :) - but I realise that today has been a poor studyday and tomorrow I have to get to school, better start prepping that lunchbox!

The unofficial Christmas beer test 2014

Yesterday we had a little unofficial Christmas beer test in the apartment. Unofficial because it was just us two, and because it was all very spontaneous so I only had the chance to buy the ones they had at the store (we'll have to try Vinmonopolets goods and other stores some other time!). We made a little form, and decided to rate the beers with bubbles (haha Radioresepsjonen copycat). 

Here are the ones we tested;

I'm not a huge fan of dark beer, so the test may reflect a bit of that... (for instance my boyfriend gave 7 fjell St Niklaus 69 bubbles, I only gave it 35 bubbles...it's good, but I'm not a fan). All of the beers got a score higher than 50 (our scores divided on two), except Ægir julebrygg (26,5 bubbles) and Grans julebrygg (8,5 bubbles)....just stay away from Grans julebrygg...I mean...we didn't even want to finish what we had in our glass...

There's a good chance we have to re-test with more beers and more people later, it was pretty fun ;)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

It's so fun decorating, wrapping presents and singing along to my Christmas list playing on spotify.

As far as decorating goes, nothing is going to be perfect as long as we're living in this apartment - too many things I would like to change/fix, but I have to realise that I'm still just a student and can't have everything the way I want it haha! (I really really really want to buy my own apartment, but that'll have to wait!) :)

I think this is the first time I've built a gingerbread house - or maybe second? I just had to have it! It's crazy how much I'm looking foreward to Christmas this year, I don't think it's ever been like this! - Maybe it's because I've turned 25 and don't want to be a grown up yet?

The Christmas calender I'm working on for my boyfriend - I have 9 days left, and it starts monday so I'm not quite on schedule!

Date night

Yesterday was date night for me and my boyfriend :) Even though we live together we don't get much time to enjoy each others company, and every-day-practical-life often takes over - leaving romance out in the cold. That's why we sometimes have to make an effort; dress up and bring romance back.

I love this dress from BikBok - so comfy, simple and pretty at the same time. 

( - of course my new slippers had to be a part of date night, haha cozy slippers, cozy night)

Candles to set the mood (and to heat up this cooold apartment). 

Since I'm the one who (almost) always cooks, my boyfriend was saturdays chef. The food was SO good :)

My boyfriend serving the potatoes :) - oh, haha don't pay attention to the toy shovel! (we don't have a proper tool, so we just use this whenever we eat lasagne etc..)

It was a perfect night, cheers to romance and I hope your saturday was just as good!

Jean Paul-slippers

Yesterday I met up with my parents, and later my boyfriend, to do a little bit of christmas shopping. The stores were open until twelve, and discounts were everywhere. We finished some of the shopping we had to do, but there's still a lot of gift shopping left. Surprise surprise, I bought a little gift for myself!

As you know, a pair of UGG-slippers were on my wishlist. They, however, are too expensive, so when I found these I just had to get them! They're so soft and I swear it was love at first sight!

The first thing I did when I got home was to put them on. :) Happiness in the shape of slippers!

Today has been a boring study day....but in just a couple of hours I get to eat taco-salad, watch Idol with my boyfriend and just enjoy myself with lighted candles and warm slippers :)
